Mr. Roofner died at 1:57 a.m. Sunday in a local hospital. A native of Roach, Mo., he had lived in Lake Charles 43 years. He worked for Continental Oil Co. for 33 years before his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eva Roofner; three sons, Harold Roofner of League City, Texas, Lee Roofner of Tucson, Ariz., and John Roofner of Lake Charles; two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Sailors of Houston and Mrs. Velma Brubaker of Tucson; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Marianne DiGigilia; two stepsons, Buddy Prejean and Leon Prejean, all of Lake Charles; one brother, Ell Roofner of California; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Osborne of Camdenton, Mo., 13 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
