Anita Erwin, 82, of Waco passed away January 24, 2018 in Waco. She was born April 10, 1935 in Hill County, the daughter of Nolan Lee and Billie Mozelle (Jenkins) Rose.

She began her working career at the Hillcrest Carpet Plant in Hillsboro. Anita was a waitress at the Thunderbird Restaurant in Hillsboro for over 30 years. She later was a receptionist for Waco Dodge in Waco and Wilson Body Shop in Hillsboro.

In her spare time she loved to travel with her sisters. She was most recently a member of Lake Shore Church of Christ in Waco and previously a member of College Hill Church of Christ and Westside Church of Christ, both in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her parents and three grandsons, Twin Johnson Boys and John Christopher Hawkins. Survivors include her five children, Donna Ann Hawkins, Carolyn Jo Martin, James Steven Erwin, Jana Lea Tyler and Lisa Gail Khoury, two sisters, Wanda Bryan and Jerita Strickland, three brothers, Gerald Rose, Gary Rose and Ronald Rose, sixteen grand children; thirteen great-grand children; two great-great grand children and many other family members including nephews, nieces and numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held January 26, 2018 in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro...M_M
