Obituary.

Frances M. Torrey was born in Brownsville, New York July 21, 1824; was married to H.G. Ainsworth October 30th, 1851; departed this life at Ashland, Kansas, August 14th, 1900; aged 76 years and 23 days.

Deceased has been an invalid for nineteen years, and during those long years of suffering she showed a patience and fortitude that was a lesson.

She leaves here to mourn her departure, the husband, H.G. Ainsworth; three daughters, Mrs. Cora Griffith, Mrs. Minnie Marshall, Mrs. Eddie Alexander and a son, Willard L. Ainsworth.

The funeral was held from the M.E. church Wednesday, where Rev. D.H. Switzer preached the funeral sermon, after which the remains were laid to rest in "the silent city" on the hill.

The bereaved family will have the profound sympathy of the entire community.
