Mrs. Peggy Louise "Nanny" Parker (née - Minshew) passed away peacefully in Tomball Regional Hospital on January 17th, 2018 in Tomball, TX at the age of 77.

Peggy is survived by her husband Walter David Parker; children Rynda Parker, Randall Parker, Kimberly (Parker) and husband Michael Lauderdale, and Kenneth Parker; grandchildren Michael Lauderdale, Heather (Nikki) (Parker) McMahan, Scott Lauderdale and fiancee' Sarah Jones, Ryan and Allison Lauderdale, John Parker, Noah Parker, and Grace Parker; great grand-children Scarlett McMahan and Calvann McMahan and siblings Lewis Minshew, John A. and Sissy Fowler, Norman and Barbara Fowler and Eleanor (Minshew) Risner. She is preceded in death by her parents Homer Hill Minshew and Margaret Grace (Stephens) Minshew; her siblings Calvin Fowler, Cleon Fowler, Carl Fowler, Geraldean Fowler, Vera (Minshew) Waddell, Venice (Minshew) Garrett, Vertice (Minshew) Ferguson, Hershel Minshew, Pauline (Minshew) Kerr, Harlon Minshew, Reba (Minshew) Morgan, James Minshew, and Leroy Minshew.

Peggy was born on February 12th, 1940 in Centre, AL to Homer and Grace Minshew. She attended Johnson High School in Rome, GA. She moved to Houston, TX as a teenager where she met and married David Parker, on February 22nd, 1957. Over a ten year period, the couple welcomed 4 children into their home and dedicated her life to raising their family. Peggy and David spent 17 years as co-owners of a printing and office supply business in Houston.

Peggy enjoyed cooking, canning and scrapbooking; family vacations; and RV-ing with her husband and grandchildren after retiring. She also enjoyed spending quality time with their friends aka "The Old Folks Club". She was a witty and spunky individual who loved her family immeasurably and had a passion for living life to the fullest.

A visitation will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 6-8pm at American Heritage Funeral Home located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, Texas. A funeral will be Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 1:00pm at American Heritage Funeral Home and a reception to follow at Mike and Kim Lauderdale's home located at 16021 Singapore Lane Jersey Village, TX. Brother Bob Hunt will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life and love of Peggy Parker.

Interment will be at Houston National Cemetery on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 2:15pm. .
