Adell retired to Hot Springs Village in 1978 and enjoyed her membership with the Hot Springs Village Church of Christ. Over the years Adell enjoyed cooking, traveling, fishing in Lake Balboa, and had a passion to knit and crochet for a variety of charitable causes. She spent countless hours creating intricately crocheted bandages for lepers, layette sets for premature babies, and hundreds of knit caps for children going through cancer treatment. Once, when discussing going out of her way to give money to a man begging on a highway off-ramp she offered, "I'd rather give ten dollars to someone who doesn't need it than not give ten dollars to someone who really does."
Mrs. Delap is preceded in death by both her parents, an older brother, Mr. Ernest Bostic, an older sister, Mrs. Idell McCullars, and her husbands Mr. Curtis Wilson and Mr. Ray Delap. She is survived by her son, Charles Wilson (Cindy) of Hot Springs Village and her two daughters, Carolyn Camp (Tom) of Fort Smith, Ark., and Dorothy Smith (Dennis) of Ashland, Ore. as well as six beloved grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home, 650 Central Landing, Conway, Ark. Visitation begins at 12 noon, one hour prior to services. Interment in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
