Mrs. Bobbie Jean McCoy Lewis, age 79, of Williamson, passed away March 9, 2015. She was born in Dalton, daughter of the late Robert McCoy and Mabel Springfield McCoy. She worked for the Department of Defense for many years before retiring to Blue Ridge. Bobbie was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church in Stockbridge where she was in charge of the children's choir. More recently she became a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church in Blue Ridge. She enjoyed traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lewis; son, Greg Gibson; sisters, Iva Burkett and Annie Painter; and brother, Harold McCoy.

She is survived by her children: Steve and Margie Gibson of McDonough and Susan and Martin Frye of Williamson; grandchildren: Jason Gibson, Bridgette Gibson, April Bishop, Holly Hoke, Adam Frye, Joshua Gibson, Dallas Gibson, Sandi Shearouse, Kelli Nichols, Lauri McBrayer; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, March 12, from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Dr. Craig Bowers officiating.
