DeVere L. Allen, 85 of North Las Vegas, Nevada died, Friday, January 26, 2018 in Las Vegas.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018 at Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna with the Rev. Scott Evans officiating. Burial will be in Litchfield Cemetery. Litchfield, Nebraska.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon, 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Rasmussen Funeral Home is caring for the family.

DeVere was born December 29, 1932 in Litchfield, Nebraska the son of Kenneth & Luella (Hackett) Allen. He grew up and received his education in Lincoln, Nebraska, graduating from Lincoln Public Schools. He entered the United States Army, February 6, 1951 serving during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged February 7, 1954.

He was united in marriage to Geraldine Lorentz, January 11, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois. The couple made their home in Chicago where he was employed by H.P. Smith for 30 years. He later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he retired.

Those left to cherish his memory include his four children: Barbara Allen, Susan Galluppi, David Allen, Sr., and Judy Garvey, four grandchildren; Nathan Allen, David Allen, Jr., Jessica Allen, Michael Garvey and one great grandchild; Cristian Vargas.
