Jackie Wayne Anderson, 81, of Mooresville, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.
He was born on June 1, 1936 in Rowan County, to the late Marshall E. "Shorty" and Emma Rex Anderson. Jackie was a veteran serving in the US Army and a Mooresville Mason, Lodge 0496.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Overcash.
He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Johnson (Rick); grandchildren, Bridget Ashe (Lucas), Brandy Mackson (James), C.W. Johnson; great grandchildren, Chelsea Whiddon, Dallas Goertz, Anthony Katzmarek, Mena and Malone Mackson, Piper and Paxton Ashe; nephew Bruce Overcash (Kathy); nieces, Rhonda Brown (Jeff), Kelly Hafner (Jim); former wife, Barbara H Anderson.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2017 with military honors at St. Luke's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Mt. Ulla with Rev. Eddie Karriker officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 (noon) – 2:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
