""Jack"" as he was fondly known to his family and friends served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired in 1984 as a fireman from Holloman Air Force Base after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Jack enjoyed going on hunting trips with family and friends, and was an avid runner for many years participating in the Whole Enchilada Fiesta 5K running event several times. Taking care of the lawn and rose bushes at home was a favorite pastime of his.
Those left to mourn his passing included a son, Daniel Cuaron (Magda) of Chandler, AZ; a daughter, Cristina Cuaron of El Paso, TX; a brother, Willie Cuaron of Doña Ana. Other survivors include two grandchildren, Roman and Catalina Cuaron as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 45 years, Tomasita Cuaron on July 4, 2017; his three brothers, Tomas, Paul and Isaac Cuaron, and two sisters, Alice Abalos and Netty Miller.
Funeral services were held at the Cathedral of Immaculate Heart of Mary, with Reverend Narciso Rivera officiating. Inurnment of Cremains followed at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Columbarium. Military honors were accorded by a New Mexico National Guard Honor Guard and the Marine Corps League – El Perro Diablo Detachment.
