William Bennett Dunlap, 87, Brownsburg, passed away January 29, 2018 surrounded by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was born April 13, 1930 in Newark, NJ to the late Dr. Walter Mebane Dunlap and Helen Bennett.

He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, a graduate of the College of Agriculture at Cornell University, a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church where he had been an elder and trustee and a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, C. Adair Dunlap; three daughters, Deborah Dunlap Shenk, Sarah Dunlap (Bradford) Shelton and Carol Kemp Dunlap; two sons, Thomas Mebane (Pam) Dunlap and Dr. John Bennett (Victoria) Dunlap; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren

A graveside service is planned for 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery in Lexington with the Rev. Steve Hall officiating.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
