Manitowoc - Rita M. Grant, age 86, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Monday morning, January 29, 2018 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.

She was born on March 11, 1931 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Jenny (Schultz) Buran. Rita was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. She was employed with Cher-Make Sausage Company for many years. Rita was a former member of the Rosary & Altar Society of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Cathy & Tom Buchner, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Henry (John) & Carrie Grant, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Rebecca (Tim) Bonnefoi, Manitowoc, Derrick (Michele) Buchner, Manitowoc, Ashley (Brooks) Zabojnik, Athens, TX., Andrew (Christal) Buchner, Alissa Grant, Alex Grant and Eli Nelson, all of Manitowoc; and twelve great grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law: Gloria (Sam) Letheby, one brother and sister-in-law: Reginald (Rosella) Buran; and her beloved dog: Ruffy.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall (1114 South 21st Street) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
