Obit for Jan W Simek
The dead body of John W Simek was found in the rear of a barn on his farm early this morning. He had evidently been dead an hour or more when found. A shot gun lay near the body, one barrel of which had been discharged. The family did not hear the report of the gun. Mr. Simek was a farmer, living about six miles northeast from Rogers, near Red Ranger, and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife and nine children, four of whom were living at home.
E.C. Stueltz M.D. was the Physician that attended the body and pronounced the death as suicide. Wright Undertaker Company of Temple handled the body and the burial was at Seaton Cemetery at Seaton, Texas on November 11, 1922.
