Mrs. Vida L. Johnson, daughter of the late J.D. and Dora Tarter Pyles, died at her home in Pleasant Hill, December 19, following an illness of eight years.

She was born November 29, 1882, and was united in marriage to Henry Johnson in 1907. Five children were born to this union, one of whom preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Sylvia Baptist Church where her membership had been since an early age.

She is survived by her husband and four children, Cecil Johnson, Clyde Johnson, Mrs. Hazel Girdler, and Flossie Johnson, all of Somerset, Route 1; one sister, Mrs. Alta Humble, Nancy; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church No. 2, with the Rev. Paul Godsey officiating. Burial was in the Tanner Cemetery.
