VESTA LEOLA DUNSON
(1905-2001)
Vesta Leola Dunson, longtime Chillicothe resident, 95, died Friday, March 23, 2001, in Phelan, Calif.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, in Chillicothe Cemetery, with Roelf Ruffner, minister of the Chillicothe Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Manard Funeral Home.
Dunson was born Oct. 2, 1905, in Chillicothe. She was a resident of Chillicothe until moving to Phelan three years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Chillicothe.
Survivors include three sons, William Dunson of Phelan, Calif., Leonard Dunson of Borger, and Carol Dunson of Drummond, Tenn.; one daughter, Marquita Hommond of Artesia, N.M.; one half-brother, Same Grange of Chillicothe; one half-sister, Jane Darling of Aleda; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and scores of great-great-grandchildren.
Dunson was preceded in death by one son, Marvin, and one daughter LaVerne.
