In Andover, N. Y., Dec. 30th, 1879, Jonathan Lanphear, aged 61 years, 11 months, and 20 days. He made a profession of religion when 14 years old, and united with the Second Church at Alfred, from which he removed his standing and became one of the constituent members of the Andover Church. Of this church he has remained a faithful member until his death. His last illness was protracted, but he bore his sufferings with great patience, and died with perfect trust in the forgiving love of Christ.
