Emeline Chambers was born about 1830 probably in Canada. Her first husband was Francis Secord whom she married 29 Dec. 1853 in Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada. Their only child William was born 15 Sep 1854 in Tillsonburg, Ontario. Shortly after William was born, Francis died in a logging accident according to family lore. William was raised by her sister Emily and husband Albert Straub. They all went to Iowa, including Emeline, sister Emily and her husband Albert, her son William, and their mother Mary Ann "Polly" Clark Chambers. There may have been another sister Mary Ann Chambers Light who married a James Sullivan in Iowa. One brother David Chambers ended up in Michigan. Emeline married James Storms, a widower with 6 children in 1864. Emeline and James had 5 more children between 1866 and 1871.
