Manitowoc - Elaine M. Kuhl, 87, formerly of 314 North 8th Street, Manitowoc, died on January 31, 2018 at Laurel Grove.

Elaine was born at home on March 18, 1930, daughter of the late Charles M. and Alma L. Kuhl, Sr. She attended Manitowoc public schools and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Elaine was employed shortly after graduation at the Mirro Company where she remained employed for over 46 years until her retirement. She was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church for her adult life.

Survivors include nieces and nephews: Michael (Pam) Kuhl, Manitowoc, Steven (Katherine) Kuhl, Winneconne, Bonnie (Steven) Scherer, Manitowoc, James (Jean) Franz, West Bend, Joan (Wayne) Free, Manitowoc, Alan (Veronica) Franz, Appleton, Kathy (Donald) Benson, Columbus, IN, Cass Kuhl, Median, OH, LuAnn (Dan) Hudak, Tallmadge, OH, and Robert Kuhl, Niles, OH. Other cousins, relatives, and friends also survive. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Donald) Franz, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Charles M. (Elsie) Kuhl, Jr., William (Rosemary) Kuhl, and Robert Kuhl.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Rev. Benjamin Schaefer will officiate with burial of Elaine's cremated remains to take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Following the memorial service, a luncheon for relatives and friends will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 10 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Elaine's name to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.
