Obituary for Luella Agnes Josephine Veijalainen
VEIJALAINEN, Luella (Nee Macdonald)
May 17th, 1934 – January 27th, 2018
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with her daughter and grandson at her side after a stroke in December 2017. Luella loved music and left us at the end of hearing “Matilta” by Harry Belafonte. Predeceased by her husband Antti Veijalainen (1983) and her sons Erik (1972) and Lauri (1993). Daughter of Chester Macdonald and Luella Macdonald (nee Reid). She is survived by her daughter Karem Allen of Ajax (nee Veijalainen) and her grandson Erik Allen of Ajax. Luella graduated from the Toronto School of Nursing in 1957. She had a long career at Greater Niagara General Hospital and retired from nursing in the early 90’s. A Celebration of life will take place in May in the Niagara area. Further information will be announced. Arrangements entrusted to the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME
