She was once a member of Christian Brother Assembly in Columbus, KY and a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Duvall and husband, Larry of Portage, Indiana; her son, Terry Rushing of Portage, Indiana; her sister, Opal Dean Jones of Clinton, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Christopher Duvall, Keith Duvall, and Randy Duvall; great-grandchildren, Juan Barrios, Sebastian Duvall, Ryen Duvall, and Soraya Barrios.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Rushing; parents, Hiram and Maude Lee Tucker Carter; daughter, Brenda Jenelle Rushing; sisters, Ruby Mae Moore and Zora Bell Stewart; brother, Amos Carter.
Services for Mrs. Rushing will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Arlington on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery. Bill Davis & Daniel McClure will officiate.
