Obituary for George William Adams

George William Adams, 85, of Indian Head, Maryland, died at Bradford Oaks Nursing Center on July 22, 2017. George was born in Southern Maryland on December 16, 1931, and he spent his entire life in the same area. George was preceded in death by his father, George Adams and mother Jesteen (Sullivan) Adams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John Adams and his sister, Mae (Sissy) Adams. He is survived by his sister Mary Gariepy, his brother Bob Adams, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was of Nazarene faith.

He attended Charles County Public Schools, George enjoyed telling corny jokes, collecting, and watching old television shows like Gunsmoke and Bonanza.

George was active at the Indian Head Senior Center until his health forced a move to Bradford Oaks Nursing Center. Services and burial are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Charles County, www.hospiceofcharlescounty.org.
