ANNE W. SHEPP Peacefully passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side. She was 86 years old. Anne was born on June 13, 1927 in Kingston, Pennsylvania. She was the Executive Secretary of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church for 36 years, and a member for 49 years. She also served as Elder. Anne was devoted to her children and proud of their accomplishments. She loved being a grandmother and a great-grandmother.
Anne was preceded in death by her loving husband, C. Lea Shepp. Left to cherish her memory are David Shepp (Lora), Karen Borradaile (Richard), and Gary Shepp (Jennifer). She will be truly missed by her grandchildren, Andrea Birnbaum (Jared), Kristin Cohen (Jeffrey), C. Lea Shepp II, and Steven Shepp. Her great grandchildren, Patrick Birnbaum, Amiya Rodriguez-Shepp, and Lily Anna Cohen will lovingly remember their "Grammy Grammy". Anne is also survived by her sister, Eleanor Vojtko, her nephews John Vojtko (Dianne), Bob Vojtko (Tina), and niece Maggie Webster.
There will be a celebration of Anne's life on January 4, 2013 at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 2001 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. with a service to follow. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Anne's memory to the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church SOAR Fund.
