Dora Isabel Myers,third daughter of the late Jesse and Nancy Murray Myers, was born on December 16, 1874, in Perry County, Mo., and passed away at her home at 302 South "A" Street, Farmington, Mo., on Sunday afternoon, January 23, 1944, at 4:05 o'clock, following an illness of fourteen months, aged 69 years, 1 month and 7 days.

On December 2, 1897, she was united in marriage to Daniel C. Garner. To their union four children were born -- Lacy (Mrs. C.C.) Gower, Edward Garner, Mae (Mrs. Marvin) McCreary and Edna (Mrs. Ralph E.) Graves, all of Farmington, who with their father, survive.

Also surviving are the following grandchildren: Barbara, Edward, George, Nancy and Bobby Graves and Jimmie McCreary, and five sisters, Rosie, (Mrs. J.M.) Shrum, and Alice (Mrs. J.H.) Barks, both of Perryville; Etta (Mrs. Wm.) Willer, of Oak Ridge; Florence (Mrs. C.E.) Shrum, of Old Appleton, and Bertha (Mrs. J.R.) Blaylock, of Sedgewickville; an aged uncle, Charles E. Murray, of Modesto, Calif., other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary (Mrs. John) Shrum, and one brother, Luther Myers.

Early in life Mrs. Garner united with the Cross Roads Methodist church where she was a devoted and valued member for many years. Moving to Farmington twenty-six years ago, her membership was transferred to the Carleton Memorial church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in Bollinger County, at two o'clock by her pastor, Rev. Wm. H. Wolfe. Interment was in the church cemetery with Miller Service.

The deceased united with the Cross Roads Methodist Church early in life, where she was an active and devout member for many years. On moving to Farmington twenty six years ago, she later transferred her membership to the Carelton Memorial Church where she remained a faithful and valued member until death.
Her passing is not only mourned by her companion and four children, but by three sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law, six grandchildren, Barbara, Edward, George, Nancy, Bobby Graves and Jimmy McCreary; five sisters, Rosie (Mrs. J.M.) Shrum, Alice (Mrs. J.H.) Barks, both of Perryville; Etta (Mrs. Wm.) Willer of Oak Ridge; Florence (Mrs. C.E.) Shrum of Old Appleton; and Bertha (Mrs. J.R.) Blaylock of Sedgewickville, and aged uncle, Chas. E. Murray of Modessa, Calif., a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
