DENNIS — Nancy M. (Hinman) Kinsch, 56, of Dennis went to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, following a courageous nine-year battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

She was the new year’s baby born on Jan. 1, 1960, at Mercy Hospital in Parsons to William “Marvin” and Ruth Marie (Sturgis) Hinman. Nancy grew up in Parsons where she attended school. Prior to marriage, she worked at LaCasa Grande Restaurant and Sonic Drive-In.

On March 19, 1982, she married Ernest L. Kinsch in Miami, Oklahoma. Nancy loved being a stay-at-home mom while her children were young. After raising their children, she worked as a sales associate at Dollar General and Family Dollar until retiring due to ill health.

She was a former member of the Otterbein Church. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, flowers and going to garage sales, flea markets and auctions. She also enjoyed collecting roosters.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Kinsch of the home; two daughters, Tiffany McLean and her husband, Andrew, of Parsons and Mindy Kinsch of the home; a grandson, Kendal McLean; two brothers, Mickey Hinman and Randy Hinman and his wife, Julie, all of Parsons; three sisters, Patty Baker and her husband, Danny, of Erie, Roxanne Hinman of Arma and Colleen Hinman of Parsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, William “Marvin” Hinman, on Nov. 5, 1970; her mother, Ruth Hinman, on March 7, 2009; a brother, Douglas Hinman, on April 30, 2007; and a sister, Marsha Ward, in 1997.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be at East Bethany Cemetery near Parsons. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
