Steven E. Brown, 54, Enjoyed Hunting, Fishing & Shooting

Steven E. Brown, 54 of Wakeman, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009 at his home after a lengthy illness.

He was born Feb. 11, 1955 in Montpelier, Ohio. He has been a Wakeman resident for the past 4 years, moving from Vermilion for 15 years and previously living in Florida. He worked for the Laborers Union Local #758 in Lorain for over 25 years, retiring in 2008.

He was graduated from Vermilion High School class of 1973. He was a member of the VFW Post #7576, Son of American Legion Post #397, and the Vermilion Fish and Game. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing, shooting and his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Michelle (née Newton); 3 sons, Russel, and Ronald Brown both of Montpelier, and Brandon Birchfield of Ringgold, GA; a daughter, Ashley Brown of Bryan, OH; grandchildren Olivia and Keller; sisters Shelley Jean Tompkins of Lehigh, FL and Christine Myers of Lehigh Acres, FL; brothers, Gregory and Theodore Brown both of Lehigh Acres, FL and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Eugene and Melba Jean (née Manley) Brown.

Friends and family are invited to the VFW Hall Post 7576 at 7576 Poorman Rd. Vermillion, to celebrate Steve's Life on Saturday, Aug 15, 2009 from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
