Beryle Louise Strayer,88, of Greeley died Thursday, April 11, 2002 at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado inpatient unit. She was born April 21, 1913 in Beaver City, Nebraska to Thomas and Molly (Harding) Pickett.
Mrs. Strayer attended a one-room school for grades 1 - 8 and then graduated from high school. She taught two years of elementary school.
On Sept 1, 1944 she married Harold Arthur Strayer who preceded her in death.
The Strayers had a truck business for which Mrs. Strayer kept the books. She loved the outdoors, raising roses and other flowers.
Surviors are a son, Robert Strayer of Greeley, a grandson Cody Myers of Greeley, a great grandchild and a nephew James Pickett of Fort Collins.
Several nieces and nephews and her eight brothers and sisters are deceased.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stoddard Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
