DORIS C. ANTHONY, 84, of Duncan, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, in Duncan.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Eastside Church of Christ, with Ron Stough officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Doris was born Nov. 10, 1922, in Rush Springs, to Clifford Joe and Bobbie Mallory Musgrove. She married Thomas Clark Anthony on Oct. 12, 1940, in Chickasha. He preceded her in death Sept. 12, 2003.
She graduated from Rush Springs High School and was a retired CMA at Duncan Care Center. She and her husband were active in PSO Retirement Club.
Doris enjoyed studying about medicines and their effects. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Linda Anthony of Duncan; four grandchildren, Mitch McCormick and wife Sonja, Natalie Witte, Rachel Brown and husband Shawn, and Linlee Anthony; and six great-grandchildren, Preston McCormick, Nicholas Witte, Boston and Kortney Brown, Meagan McCormick and Holly McCormick.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Nedra Anthony McCormick in 1995; a brother, Joe Musrove; a sister, Pauline Hicksonbothom; and a special aunt, Bertha Lewis.
Bearers will be Steve Perkins, Rick Griffith, Danny Mints, Gerald Kierbow, Dale Bragg and George Davis.
Honorary bearers are Richard Johnston, Joe Grotts, Eddie Hopkins, C.D. White, Bill Nelson, Charlie Gee, Preston McCormick and Nicholas McCormick.
