Earl Silvester Burks. 53. passed away yesterday morning at 8 oclock in a local hospital after a lingering illness. He was a native of Arkansas and had lived in Madera the past six years. Burial will take place Tuesday afternoon at 2 oclock from the Madera Funeral Home chapel. Rev. T. E. Woods will perform the final rites. Interment will take place at Arbor Vitae
cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Burks, mother Mrs. Lillie Burks: four daughters. Mrs_ Viola Robley, Mrs. Fannie Stepp. Miss Bobbie Lee and Miss Patsie Burks, a son. Oden Whala. all of Madera; Four sisters. Mrs. Ida Roberts and Mrs. Dora Whitehead, of Madera and Miss Ollie Mae
