Robert Gale “Bob” Hubble, age 69 of Olney, passed away on Friday February 16, 2018 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. Funeral service in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Burial at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont. Pastor Gary Wachtel and the Richland County Veteran’s Organization officiating.
Bob was born on April 16, 1948 in Olney, the son of Robert and Thelma (Grove) Hubble. He later married Rosanna “Rosie” Miller on September 29, 1967 in Noble. She survives.
He was in the United States Army as an Armor Crewman stationed in Korea. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Olney. He was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and an Illini fan. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosie Hubble of Olney; 3 sons Brad Hubble (Missy) of Olney, Mark Hubble (Misty) of Flora and Rick Hubble (fiancé Audra Speir) of Albion; brother Chuck Hubble of Marion; 2 uncles Kenny Grove (Sue) of Claremont and Jerry Grove of Olney; aunt Lela Mae Runyon (Bob) of Noble; mother-in-law Margaret Miller of Newton; 9 grandchildren, Cierra, Autumn and Mitchell Hubble of Olney, Brenden, Brayden, Braxden Hubble of Flora, Katlynn Hubble of Olney, Cidney Hubble and McKenzie Brake of Albion; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Thelma Hubble and 2 sisters Glenys Davis and Sue Ellen Walker.
