June “Carol” Nice, age 78, of New Paris Indiana and formerly of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 6:00 AM in Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
She was born June 15, 1939 in Plymouth, Indiana to Sylvester Ivan and Hazel Laura (Carlow) Aman.
Carol was former resident of Lakeville, IN, Gautier, MS, Warsaw and New Paris, IN. She was united in marriage to Dennis Nice in Plymouth, IN in 1992. She served as Nurse for St. Joseph Hospital, Plymouth and Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw retiring in 2011. She enjoyed cross-stitching and needlework and was a gardener and loved working outdoors and traveling.
Carol is survived by daughters Judith Elaine (spouse Rodney) Hygema of Lakeville, IN and Meschelle Lee (spouse Scott) Davidhizar of New Paris, IN. Her grandchildren include Tracy Gnivecki, Matthew Hygema, Michael Davidhizar, Caleb Davidhizar and Catherine Davidhizar and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Lorraine Kay Oyler in 1981 and her husband Dennis L. “Denny” Nice in 2012.
