Manitowoc - Stephen Jon Holder unexpectedly left this world on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the age of 46.

Steve was born in Manitowoc, WI on December 27, 1971 to Dr. Lynn W. and Judith Ann (Zagrodnik) Holder. Steve graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1989, where he was an outstanding athlete in football and baseball. Steve attended the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, where he graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Microbiology. Steve married Yvonne Kuehne in 1994 and they have two sons; Kory and Cade. Kory and Cade were always sources of great pride for Steve, and he loved them dearly. Steve was employed with DuPont Chemical for many years, where he was a successful and innovative research scientist. Steve's happiest moments were spent with his sons, father, and brothers in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just spending time with his loved ones. Steve will be remembered for his ever-present smile and talent for having fun in everything he did and with whomever he was with. Steve will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his sons Kory and Cade Holder of Oconomowoc, parents Dr. Lynn and Judy Holder of Manitowoc, his siblings Jeffrey (Jean) Holder of DeForest, Scott (Trissy) Holder of Manitowoc, Dr. Christopher (Dr. Tracy) Holder of Green Bay, Marya Roffers of Green Bay, Jennifer (Dan) Siehr of Sun Prairie, and Dr. Eric (Dr. Suzanne) Holder of Fond du Lac. Steve also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning, February 23, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Revs. David Pleier and Dan Felton. Burial of Steve's cremated remains will follow the Mass of Christian Burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the All-Care Family Center, 925 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. The visitation will continue on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc.

Memorials may be donated to substance abuse and suicide prevention charities in Steve's name.
