Benadam Denison, son of Ann and Benadam Denison, was born July 8, 1747, at Stonington (Connecticut Town Birth Records, Barbour Collection).

Benadam Denison married Dimmis Reed on December 14, 1770. Children:

George, b March 10, 1781; d December 19, 1809, Norfolk, Virginia
Charles, b May 23, 1783; d December 16, 1814.

Benadam Denison died January 22, 1811.

"NOVEMBER 26, 1793, fifteen buildings were destroyed by fire in Chelsea. This was the largest fire ever known in Norwich. It raged from six to ten o'clock P. M., wind fresh from the N. W. It broke out in a store belonging to Messrs. Hubbard & Greene, of Boston, and was supposed to have been communicated through a fissure in the chimney, to some paper rags piled against it. The meeting-house, the dwelling-houses of Lynde M'Curdy, Levi Huntington, and Benadam Denison, stores occupied by Capt. William Coit, Coit & Lathrop, and Levi Huntington, were destroyed.
