The Owls Head Cemetery Committee strongly believes that Richard B. Emery was brought home for burial in THIS family cemetery.
According to Eaton's History, Richard B. Emery was "a soldier of the 2nd Mounted Battery of Maine Volunteers (Vol I, p. 465)
According to Phyllis Hope Additon Russell (grand niece) in October of 1972, Richard died of typhoid at Brooks Station.
