Herbert "Bud" Anning, 59, of E. Washington St., Springfield, was found dead in bed at his residence yesterday. Coroner W. C. Telford said he apparently died of a heart attack and he will conduct an inquest.
Mr. Anning was born Nov. 6, 1894 in Chicago, and had resided in Springfield most of his life. He had been a stone cutter.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine; a son, Thomas J., Springfield; a brother, Ernest, Kewanee; five sisters, Mrs. Florence Ryan, Mrs. Roland Monroe, Mrs. Lester Lawson, and Mrs. Paul Lawson, all of Springfield, and Mrs. Mary Haughawout, Carthage, Mo.
The body was taken to the Kirlin & Egan funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
