James F. Brown, age 80, of Fort Wayne, IN died at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. Born in Warsaw, IN on November 23, 1926, he was the son of Ralph E. and Mary Ethel (Atchison) Brown.

James lived several years in the Huntington and Markle, IN areas moving to Allen County, IN in 1977. He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1945 to 1946. With 30 years of service with Dana Corporation, Fort Wayne, IN, he retired in 1980 as a machinist. His memberships included American Legion Post #499 and Allied Industrial Workers of America.

He is survived by son, Gary J. (Debbie) Brown of Huntington, IN; 2 daughters, Sheryl A. (William) Rea and Cindy E. Hubartt both of Huntington, IN; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Betty J. (Bert) Newell of Fort Wayne, IN, Alice J. Hughes of Bryon, OH and Helen I. (David) Grubb of Wolcottville, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gregory K. Brown, infant great-grandchild, 6 brothers, Albert E., Richard R., Donald W., Jerry L., Norman E., and Roger L. Brown, 3 sisters, Emmajean Louise and Hazel M. Brown and Shirley A. Brudi, and his companion, Glenys M. Podrasky.
