HEINRICH SCHMIDT (d. 1905)
Henry Schmidt, son of the late Edward Schmidt died at Watertown, Wisconsin last Wednesday night. He was 16 years of age and was a student at the Northwestern Lutheran College located at Watertown. The cause of death was appendicitis. His body was brought here for burial and the funeral took place on Saturday afternoon from St. John's church. He was a bright, ambitious boy and his bereaved mother has the sympathy of many friends.
Professor Ernst of the Northwestern University at Watertown accompanied the remains of young Henry Schmidt, who was a student at the institution to this city last Friday and on Saturday afternoon preached his funeral sermon at St. John's Church. The sermon was a fitting tribute to the memory of the departed.
