BREWER - Francis "Frank" Russell Le Clair, 82, of Brewer, passed away on February 7, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, Maine. Born to the late Rudolph F. and Annie (Hogan) Le Clair on February 27, 1935 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Frank was raised in nearby North Andover and attended Central Catholic High School in Lawrence. He moved to Maine in the early 1980's. The state of Maine became his haven, where he was truly happy with its natural environment, and happiest when he could be near the mountains and lakes. Frank loved to sing and shared his gift at church services and coffeehouses. His other interests included World War II history, classic cars, and movies. Over the years, he also derived a great deal of pleasure from music, coin collecting, occasionally attending classic car cruise nights, aerial stunt shows, watching planes land and take-off, and visiting air museums. Since retiring several years ago due to health reasons, he was blessed with a wide circle of friends and acquaintances who meant the world to him, and who brightened his life. He is survived by his two former spouses; three daughters and their spouses, Donna and Gerald Blair, East Granby, CT, and Cheryl and John Buffum, Rochester, NH, and Zendelle Bouchard and David Rude, Sanford, ME; three grandsons, David Dube, Epping, NH, and Kevin Blair and Mark Blair, both of East Granby, CT; great-granddaughter, Samantha Currier, NH; nieces, Renee Conway, and Diana Foden, both of Methuen, MA; cousin, Robert Moore, Nashua, NH; former sister-in-law, Pauline Lustenberger, Methuen, MA; and former brother-in-law, Howard John Reed, Placentia, CA. He was predeceased by his parents; only sibling, Roy David Le Clair; son, Colin Jason Bouchard; cousin, Sheila (Moore) Nealey; and several aunts and uncles. With a special note of appreciation extended to Frank's primary care nurse, the family wishes to thank the staff of St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor for the excellent, compassionate care and comfort they provided our loved one throughout his last few final days. You made a difference - and that's important. No services. Spring burial will be held at the family plot in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Waverly Road, North Andover, MA.
