WILLIAM F. SCHMIDT

Wilhelm F. Schmidt, 86, an employe of the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Co. in
Two Rivers for many years, died at his home in Two Rivers early this morning,
following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home in
Two Rivers at 1:30 p.m. Friday, and at St. John’s Lutheran church at 2 p.m.,
the Rev. W. G. Haese officiating. Burial will be in the Pioneer’s Rest
cemetery.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Wednesday afternoon until time
of services Friday.
Mr. Schmidt was born in Greenhof, Germany, in 1859 and came to America in 1885,
when but a young man. He moved to Two Rivers, and in 1887 he married Maria Helm
of that city. He had been employed at the Aluminum Goods until 16 years ago when
he retired. His wife died 23 years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Walter, at home, Paul, Manitowoc; five daughters, Emma,
at home, Sylvia, Milwaukee, Mrs. Martha Mancel, Two Rivers; Mrs. Erma Bechtelheimer,
Dade City, Fla., Mrs. Ella Frye, Milwaukee; 18 grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
