Floyd was a railroad engineer for the Erie Railroad 1908 - 1953. He married Goldie Mae Wilcox, a Wayne County, Pennsylvania native on 3 Sep 1905 in Sloatsburg, Rockland, New York. Together Goldie and Floyd had six children including: Vivian Marguerite; Josephine; Edwin Merle; Gladys Annabelle; Verna Mae; and Frank LeRoy. All lived to adulthood except for baby Vivian Marguerite who died at age four months. She is believed to be buried near her parents in Sloatsburg Cemetery.
Floyd, also known as "Smiley" to his family and friends, died in August, 1961. Goldie Mae had preceded him in July 1960. Both are buried in Sloatsburg Cemetery.

"Floyd M. Hall
Floyd M. Hall of 167 Front Street, a retired Erie Railroad engineer, died Thursday at Odell Sanatorium, Newburgh.
Mr. Hall was born at Greenwood Lake, New Jersey on July 7, 1886, the son of Martin and Rachel Sisco Hall. On September 3, 1906 he married in Sloatsburg to the late Goldie M. Wilcox and since 1946 had resided in this city.
He was employed by the Erie from 1908 to 1953.
Survivors include a son, Frank, of Cookeville, three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Muckstadt and Mrs. Verna Fell, of Port Jervis and Mrs. Gladys Wickham, of Middletown; eight grand children; ten great grand children and an aunt and uncle.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 pm from the Gray Funeral Home, 77 Ball Street., with the Rev. Sydney Newhouse officiating.
Burial will be in Sloatsburg.
