Betty Frances Bassett
Betty Frances Bassett, age 83, of Hamilton, MO passed away on Feb 20, 2013, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Hamilton.
Betty was born on March 19, 1929, in Gallatin, to August and Ruth Eads Hubbard. She retired from the Cameron hospital as an LPN.
She attended the Prairie View Methodist Church, north of Hamilton, until it closed. She was also a member of the Hamilton American Legion Post #285 Ladies Auxiliary.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George Hubbard and August Hubbard, Jr.; and her daughter, Florence Daniel.
Betty married Loren Bassett on May 8, 1947 in Troy, KS. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include a son, Richard Bassett of Hamilton; daughter Barbara Staton of Platte City; son, Robert Bassett of Dawn; sister, Doris Herron of Topeka, KS; brother William Hubbard of Odessa; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Caldwell County Foundation Cancer Assistance Fund, the Hamilton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary or Three Rivers Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.
