Pete was born in Endicott on December 20, 1940, a son of the late Bernard and Augusta (Bilka) Albertsman Sr.
He was a 1958 graduate of Trumansburg High School where he enjoyed being a part of the theater and practicing his love of art.
He had a long career with the City of Ithaca, retiring as a maintenance supervisor for streets and facilities.
He was an avid outdoorsman and as a hunter, took many record buck from his area.
His cars and his log home, all of which he built himself from the ground up, showed his true compassion of working with his hands. What Pete will be most remembered for, is his love of family and friends.
He is survived by his long-time loving partner, Michelle Hull; his children, Brian (Tristin) Albertsman of Avondale Estates, GA, Douglas (Joelle) Albertsman of Ithaca, and Megan Albertsman of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Nathan and Joey, Lillian, Nicco and Vincent; his siblings, Patricia Dickerson, Anne Alberstman, Bernard (Mary) Alberstman, James Albertsman and Julie (Archie) MacArthur; and a host of nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Pete was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Peter and Jeffrey Albertsman; and siblings, Richard and Katherine Albertsman.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday March 4, 2018 at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street in Trumansburg from 2:00pm until the Memorial Service that begins at 3:00pm.
