Ernest Miller was born on September 25, 1898 in Beech Grove, Kentucky, the son of Ulysses "Grant" Miller (1867-1948) and Georgia Ann (Stevens) Miller (1873-1952).
Living in Nashville, Tennessee most of his life, he had been married to June Smith [but they were later divorced?].
Retired from Geny's Florist and living at 505 Russell Street in Nashville, he was 59 years old and had luetic cardiovascular disease when he died at Vanderbilt Hospital on November 19, 1957.
Survivors included his widow; daughters Mrs John Deedrick of Atlanta, Georgia and Mrs Gene Martin of Greensboro, North Carolina; son Joe Miller of Marietta, Georga; sisters Mrs T B Dumas of Birmingham, Alabama, Mrs John H Sorrow and Mrs William Ford of of Nashville, and Mrs Woodie Hendricks of Newburgh, New York; brothers T M Miller of Miami, Florida and H B Miller of Manchester, New Hampshire and four grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home, and burial was on November 21st in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville.
Much of the above is from his Death Certificate, with Mrs June Miller of 505 Russell Street as the informant. [It is noted that his Death Certificate lists him as divorced, while his original obituary lists him as "survived by his widow, the former Miss June Smith."]
