Bob Hackett died at the age of 89. He served three years with the Oregon National Guard and three years in the Army during the Korean War. He served 40 years with the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans). He worked on the Union-Pacific Railroad with the Dining Cars. He was involved with the Masons and Shriners, Order of Eastern Star and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.

He was preceded in death by his parents Martha and Lee Hackett, plus 5 brothers and one sister. He was survived by: His wife Cathy, a Stepson Tim Ross, and a Stepdaughter Angela Murray.
