DIANA L. SCHUETTE

Diana L. Schuette, 73, Town of Centerville resident went to her Lord after losing her battle with cancer on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at home.

Born April 14, 1944 in Manitowoc, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Margaret Schwoerer Stemper. She attended St. Wendel Grade School in Cleveland and graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School in 1962. On January 22, 1966 she was united in marriage to Wayne E Schuette at St. Wendel Catholic Church in Cleveland Wisconsin. As a couple they resided in Cherry Point, North Carolina until Wayne's discharge from service and then they resided in the Cleveland area. The marriage was blessed with two children. As the children grew, Diana went to work as a Librarian Aide at Cleveland Elementary School. In later years she was a teller at the Cleveland State Bank, a secretary at Born, Kolb, Kovach Insurance Co. and a bookkeeper for Wayne's business, Schuette's Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. In her spare time, Diana liked helping people, she was a first responder and EMT. She loved working in her garden and her flowers. Diana was a Master Gardener. She enjoyed camping with family and friends. After her retirement she was a member with Good Sam Camping Group, for 10 years. Diana served on the state staff, during which 4 of those years she was first lady for Good Sam while Wayne, was State Director. She was a member of the Cleveland VFW Auxiliary and it's president for many years. She helped with the Lions Club.

Survivors include her husband Wayne; two sons, Scott and Wayne Jr. (Amy); one sister, Marilyn (Greg) Martell of Manitowoc; three brothers, Gerald (Judy) Stemper of Fond du Lac, Kenneth (Deborah) Stemper of Cleveland, Peter (Teri) Stemper of Two Rivers: and many family and friends. She is preceded in death by one brother, Daniel, and one sister, Carol.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 (noon) on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton, WI. Father Dave Beaudry will be celebrant of the mass and inurnment will follow at St. John's Graveyard (Kassa Cemetery) in the Town of Centerville.

Friends may call at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. The Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel in Cleveland is assisting the family with these funeral arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in Diana's name for the Vincent Lombardi Cancer Center.
