David D. Lohmeier, 81, of Egypt Mills died Saturday, March 3, 2018, at his home.

He was born Feb. 9, 1937, In Cape Girardeau to Herman and Fern Dunning Lohmeier. (Raised by step-mother Helen Lohmeier). He and Helen Rauh married April 9, 1960.

Dave proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1958.

He s survived by his wife, Helen Lohmeier; two daughters, Tracy (Bill) Westbrook and Melinda (Matthew) King; six grandchildren; a brother, Robert Lohmeier; and a sister, Nancy Brasher.

The family of David Lohmeier will host a private memorial service at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association and will be accepted at the funeral home or church.
