Homer Admiral Chambers, 76, of Princeton, WV, formerly of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 at his home. He was born March 20, 1937 in Clear Fork, WV a son of the late Dewey Conley "Admiral" Chambers Sr. (1898-1982) and Stella Blankenship-Chambers (1902-1963).

Homer was a member of the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church for many years until moving to Mercer County where he attended the Roger Street Community Church in Princeton.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Joseph Walter "Walt" Chambers (1923-1997), Dewey Corbin Chambers Jr. (1925-1967), Don Fulton Chambers (1928-Deceased), Hattie Jean Chambers-Cline (1930-1970), Franklin Pierce Chambers (1939-Deceased), Maxine B. Chambers-Miller (1940-2009), Edward Warl "Moose" Chambers (1941-2010), Roy Chambers (Deceased), Troy Chambers (Deceased), Lonnie Chambers (Deceased), Connie Chambers (Deceased), Johnny Lee Chambers (Deceased), and Ellen Chambers-Harvey (Deceased).

Survivors include a daughter Belinda Chambers-Putorek and husband Ronnie Putorek of Athens, WV; a son Homer Jerome Chambers of Princeton, WV; two grandchildren Summer Putorek, and Sawyer Putorek; a sister Anna Sue Chambers-Kitts of Anderson, SC; a brother Christopher Columbus Chambers and wife Francis Chambers of Cyclone, WV; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday April 17, 2014 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jackie Grimmett officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Chambers Cemetery, Clear Fork, WV.
