UTICA, NY, HERALD DISPATCH 1908
Frederick G. Anacker, a well-known resident of West Utica, passed away at his home, 24 Cleveland Avenue, this morning. His health had been poor for the past year and for a period of six months he had been unable to attend to his work. Death resulted from a complication of diseases. Frederick George Anacker was a native of Germany, having been born in that place October 16, 1835. In 1881 he emigrated to this country with his wife and four children. They immediately took up their residence in this city where the deceased had since lived. Soon after locating here, he entered the employ of Russell Wheeler's stove works, where he remained for a period of two years. He severed his position there and then went to work in the Globe Woolen Mills, where he was employed as a wool sorter until his failing health compelled him to relinquish his duties. Mr. Anacker was a man who enjoyed a wide acquaintance which he made with his ? disposition. He was a home man and was greatly devoted to his family. He was married in Germany 34 years ago to Dora May Fern. She survives with ten children: William Anacker of this city, August, who is a member of Company M, Fourteenth Infantry now stationed in Cuba; Mrs. Lissie Brunnett, Charles F., Carrie, Henry, Dora, Lena, Esther and Bertha Anacker of this city. He attended the Evangelical Church on Sunset Avenue and was a Republican in politics.
