Lois graduated from Brandon (VT) High School, Castleton (VT) State Teachers College and the University of Pittsburg (PA) School of Social Work. She was employed in social work in South Mountain PA, Springfield MA, Tucson AZ, and Burlington VT where she eventually retired in 1996 from private practice as a psychiatric social worker. She married Art on 17 Sep 1959 Danbury CT. The Parent's made their home for awhile in Show Low AZ and then in Starksboro VT on land formerly a part of the Burbank Turkey Farm. For awhile their place was known as Venture Valley Dairy Goat Farm
