Mr. Talbot Jones Taylor, a well known citizen of Baltimore county, died at his residence, "Cloud Capped," on the Catonsville road, about four miles from Baltimore, at 6 o'clock yesterday morning, in his forty-eighth year. He had been suffering for some years with Bright's disease, and for the last six months had been confined to his room. Mr. Taylor who was born in Baltimore city, was the son of Robert Taylor, formerly a prominent merchant, and the grandson of the late Talbot Jones, one of the original incorporators of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, after whom he was named. In early life, Mr. Taylor was with the firm of Wyman, Appleton & Co., dry goods merchants, and was afterwards for a time engaged in the coffee and sugar brokerage in Exchange Place, the firm being Taylor & Bowerman. Subsequently he retired to his estate in Baltimore county. Mr. Taylor was a gentleman of social qualities and some taste in art matters, and possessed a good collection of modern paintings. He leaves a wife, daughter of the late Alexander Kirkland, of Baltimore, and ten children. The funeral will take place tomorrow, from the residence of his uncle, William J. Albert, on Cathedral street, and the remains will be interred at Greenmount.
