Holly Sanders Dalton was an All-American girl, her family says. She was a cheerleader, homecoming queen and a good student. Some of her happiest days were cheering her high school sweetheart on Coldwater High School's football field and her wedding day at Sledge Baptist Church last October.
She always had a smile on her face and was always willing to help a friend. Mrs. Dalton, 18, was killed in a car accident Saturday morning on her way to help a friend outside of Stray horn, Miss. The Mississippi Highway Patrol had not released any details on the accident Saturday.
Mrs. Dalton's sister, Wendy Crawford, 23, said she will be sorely missed.
"Holly lived life to the fullest," Crawford said. "She loved cheering for the school, and she kind of followed in my footsteps. I was a cheerleader before her. She always talked about being a nurse and went back and earned her GED. She was planning on going back to college in the fall." Mrs. Dalton, a homemaker, was married to Shawn Dalton of Crenshaw, Miss. The couple had one son, Corey Dalton of Senato bia. Being a good wife and moth er were what she concentrated on most, said her sister.
"She always loved kids," Crawford said. "I got two of my own; and she took all the time in the world with them. She had a really good heart; she was a very sweet beautiful girl who leaves behind a very special little boy."
