Richard was a dedicated follower of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a longstanding member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Port Huron and Timonium Presbyterian Church in Timonium, MD.
Rich accomplished many things in his lifetime. He studied at Calvin College and abroad in Spain. He spoke several languages fluently, sang beautifully and even recorded an album. He was extremely well educated in theological matters, attending for a time seminary schooling to broaden his knowledge. He continuously grew in his career and was an expert at bringing people together to work toward a common goal. His great sense of humor and charisma drew people together and created many friendships. He loved people and was always interested in what was happening in others lives. He was passionate and opinionated - but in a loveable way. Rich deeply loved His Bride and had two children whom he loved beyond words. He was always so proud of them and enjoyed their unique perspectives and personalities. He was always encouraging them to follow Jesus and look for the positive in situations. Rich was loved by so many and his laugh, great sense of humor, kindness, and overall big personality will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife (aka His Bride), Felicia; two children, Gareth and Rhiannon; his mother, Linda Fogarty; his siblings, Joseph (Heidi) Fogarty and Amy (Bryan) Balon; several nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, William (Diane) Deskins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry J. Fogarty.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Tim Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery.
